1. Who we are

This website, writerscellar.com (the "site"), is operated by Writer's Cellar, a sole proprietorship based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India ("Writer's Cellar", "we", "us"). We are the data fiduciary for the personal data collected through this site. If you have questions regarding anything in this policy, contact us at info@writerscellar.com.

2. What we collect

We collect personal data in three ways:

Enquiry form. When you fill out and submit our enquiry form, we collect your full name, work email address, company or organisation name, the service you are interested in, your phone or WhatsApp number, and any project details you choose to share.

Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects information such as device type, browser, approximate location, pages visited and time spent, using cookies and similar identifiers.The analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. The site and its services are directed at businesses

3. Why we collect it

We process your personal data for the following purposes only:

To respond to your enquiry and discuss the work you have described.

To deliver services if we agree to work together.

To improve the site and understand which content is useful.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data for advertising to you, and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.

4. Consent

We process your enquiry data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you tick the consent box and submit the enquiry form. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@writerscellar.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and if you withdraw consent before your enquiry is resolved, we may be unable to continue responding to it.

5. Who can access your data and where it goes

The form submissions are delivered to info@writerscellar.com and are accessible only to people working at Writer's Cellar who need them to respond to you. We use the following service providers to operate the site, each of which processes limited data on our behalf:

Framer (site hosting and form handling).

Google (analytics, and email infrastructure for our mailbox provider).

6. How long we keep it

The enquiry data is kept until your enquiry is resolved, or for 12 months from submission, whichever comes first, after which it is deleted. If your enquiry becomes a client engagement the data relating to that engagement will be kept for the duration of the engagement and any period required by law (for example, accounting and tax records).

7. Your rights

You have the right to (Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)

Request for an access to a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been processed.

Correct inaccurate or incomplete data

Request to erase your data subject to any legal retention requirements.

Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to.

If you want to exercise any of these rights, email info@writerscellar.com with the subject line "Data request". We will verify your identity and respond within 15 days.

8. Grievances

If you believe your personal data has been mishandled, write to our grievance contact at info@writerscellar.com. We will acknowledge your grievance and respond within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Rules, 2025. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

We maintain security safeguards to protect your data, including restricting mailbox access to authorised people, using access-controlled devices and reputable service providers, and deleting data. if a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

10. Cookies

The site uses cookies for analytics as described in section 2. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site will continue to work even if you disable cookies.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised date. The material changes affecting how your data is used will be notified to active enquirers by email.
